3kWp of solar and 5kWh of battery on a towable trailer, for power wherever it's needed.
The brief
Build a self-contained power unit that can be towed to wherever power is needed, with no grid connection or generator.
What we did
- Mounted a 3kWp solar array on a road-towable trailer.
- Fitted a Victron inverter, solar charge controller and 5kWh of lithium battery storage in a lockable steel cabinet.
- Added a consumer unit and sockets inside the cabinet, so equipment plugs straight in.
The outcome
Quiet, clean power that can be moved from site to site.
